About Me
I have been home educating for nearly 13 years now. My husband and I made the decision to start home educating our eldest daughter, Akia, in 2013 after losing faith in the school system. We were constantly being told that she was 'disruptive', however, it was very apparent that as she was (and is) a very bright child she was bored as the work she was being given wasn't stimulating for her. She would often have her work done much quicker than her peers and the teachers refused to get work for her that was the level above. After trying switching schools first it was clear to us that this was going to be an issue regardless of which school she was in. We registered her as home educated in the spring term of year 2. That summer we sat her down with mock KS2 SATs and she got level 6s across the board. None of our subsequent children have been to a nursery or a school. Akia passed her Maths GCSE aged 12 and sat and passed her Maths A-Level aged 15. She is currently in her second year at Leicester University. Our next eldest child, Ariya, sat and passed his Maths GCSE aged 12, his Chemistry GCSE aged 13, his Maths A-Level aged 14 and his Physics and English Language GCSEs aged 15. He is currently studying A Level Chemistry and Economics with the aim to start an apprenticeship soon. Our other children are all working at least 2 school years ahead of where they would be if they attended school. I am passionate about children achieving their full potential and love to see children progess with their learning and realising their academic passions. I will work with you and your child whatever your requirements are.
I am available for 1-1 home tutoring in Nottingham and online 1-1 and group sessions wherever you are.
